Only way to get Benn bill itself heard wd be via weekend recall of the Lords and even then that motion could be filibustered, as could the bill itself. As clock ticks down to Monday prorogation. Some in Lab seriously worried this could kill whole anti-no-deal bid.

Imagine how that action will be viewed around the world and throughout the UK. A PM & Leader of the Conservative Party taken to court & prosecuted for upholding the will of 17.4m voters to leave the EU. Are you proud of yourselves ?

The plan isn't to get a bill through parliament, it's to fail getting it through and blame parliament for it, so as to framing it as the will of the people being thwarted by parliament, as part of an election campaign.
