Never use a magnifying mirror when applying makeup. You should apply your makeup as other people see it, not zoomed in. You won't get a good perspective on your look.

Vacuuming your carpets is never a bad idea. Assuming that your carpet is clean just because it looks clean isn't a great one. Make sure you vacuum AND have a carpet cleaning service come in and do a deep clean on occasion.
