I need to stop making little plates like this, I have way too many already... At least I picked an underglaze that's visible on this claybody.

This is probably one of the most complicated pieces I've made. I layered slip in a plaster mold then very slowly carved it. It was super hard to do but I think it was worth it and once my health is better I want to do another piece like this.

I made this bowl as a gift for my mom, so I'm glad that it turned out well.

I threw some pieces a couple of days ago - thanks to being cold and damp they were fine to work on today - I trimmed their bases and added an octopus to a couple of them. This one will be Raku fired.

I love doing devil's work. Is there a better name for this? I don't know, and I kinda like how edgy it sounds. I like the organic shapes on this one, and the way that the colors came out.

My first box came out of the glaze firing! I was hoping for a bit more contrast between the clay color and the underglaze color, but all in all I’m very excited!
