, Florence, Italy🇮🇹 This bridge is noted for still having shops built along it, as was once common. Butchers initially occupied the shops however the present tenants are jewelers, art dealers and souvenir sellers!

Ponte Vecchio just after liberation 1944 and the same view this morning. The retreating nazis blew all the other bridges but spared , instead they blocked access by blowing up nearby buildings. The Vasari Corridor can be seen running overhead.
