Submitted my#socialwork thesis today. It’s been completed to the backdrop of Brexit and ‘alternative facts’ which I’ve had to keep at bay in order to stay sane. I’m now reading my first novel in 4 years - and what an apt choice to get me right back in it

I finally received reimbursement for over $2300 from my university. That is 2 months of graduate student rent expenses that I had to pay up front to do my research over the summer, when I do not have an income, and wait to get reimbursed.

Thought of the day: If professors openly admit what Hogwarts houses they associate with, it may be easier to help students pick an advisor and research group.

So today I had my PhD viva 🙈 I was never so terrified in my life before I went to it. it was one of the best experiences in my life. And most importantly I’ve passed with minor corrections. And my PhD girls were waiting outside with this note ❤️
