Durga Mahisāsura-Mardini from an 18th-century Odisha painter's sketchbook. The eight-handed goddess impales the asura (emerging from a buffalo) with a trident. The graceful yet incredibly powerful stance is very reminiscent of Puri's ancient Gosani images.
