My favourite tawny frogmouth is back in the tree next to my bedroom, lulling me to sleep with its soft, deep & continuous "oom, oom, oom." Notice its weak feet that don't have curved talons - different to owls. Love their scruffy, wide-mouthed face.

Yes!!! Finally got a photo of one of the most elusive birds in Australia! Noisy Scrubbird. Loads of good wildlife over the last few days, inc Numbat, Honey Possum, plenty of SW Aussie endemic birds.

Do you ever go to the park and hear a sweet, twittering call, but can't find the bird? Next time try looking down. Red-rumped are amazingly well camouflaged.
