Looking for a few alpha/beta readers to read through a draft of a Contemporary Hockey Romance. Med-High head level. Looking for feedback on where to expand, what you want to see more of, aka places to increase wordcount strategically.

and friends, I’m curious: do you have a particular font you HAVE to use or your brain just locks up and won’t make words? Mine is Cambria. Sans serif fonts just entirely shut my brain down.

Is it bad that I bought a pack of premade choc chip cookie dough and have been simply breaking off pieces to eat instead of like, actually baking them and makin' them into actual cookies? 😂😅🍪

GUESS WHAT? Today I hit 40k words of my 50k September writing goal. Guys, I'm starting to love my characters. What a feeling. The plot, however, continues to be ... problematic. How do you, um, plot again? Something about ... crisis arc thingy?

Just hit 30k of my 50k September word goal... 11 days left. YES I CAN DO IT. Stubbornness is on my side. I keep telling myself--it doesn't have to be good {YET}. It just has to BE. ONWARD.

I hate to commit to a word count/chap goal for the coming week, but I need some level of accountability considering my recent lack of discipline. So, I pledge 8000 words, & you're all invited to check in as the week progresses. PUBLICLY SHAME ME YOU GUYS!

Alright and twitter, on Thursday I board a plane to London and I need some ebook ideas to read. I'm reading a lot more adult than YA at the moment, but I'll read anything but horror. Suggestions?

All writers need to have hobbies besides writing. Many writers want to make careers out of writing, which means you’ll need another creative outlet. Plus, it’s amazing how another creative outlet can reduce your stress & allow you to write more.

You know that feeling you get when you finally nail the scene you've been working on, and all you want to do is read it over and over, but you can't because you have to work on the next scene. Yeah. I'm there. Sigh.
