Important information for any breastfeeding mothers. Imagine how horrified they'd be if we needed to express during the flight?!

KLM, if a mother tries to feed or comfort her baby and keep it from crying during the flight but it 'offends' other passengers, the only right question the staff should ask is 'can we give you an upgrade to first class so you can feed in peace'.

Christ is it 2019 or am I mistaken? Women do not breastfeed with the intention of exposing themselves. They breastfeed because their children are hungry or need comfort!

. policy made me think of this pic. Please avert your eyes or unfollow me if you feel offended 😉 This was me at election count as I fed my 18 mth old while waiting for the results. Hall full of people & not a single person gave a toss

I really hope when the KLM bosses arrive in the morning to work, they have to deal with a Twitter shitstorm and amend their policy

perhaps you should supply blankets for this purpose. You know, for those “other passengers” to cover themselves with. Sounds ridiculous asking them to do that? About as ridiculous as asking a breastfeeding mother to do the same. It’s 2019.

And for the record as a breastfeeding mother, my concern is to meet the basic human needs of my child to be nourished and comforted. That should be universal to all cultures, as babies have been breastfed since the dawn of time.

Oh boy, I see is just digging themselves a bigger hole now, repeating their idiotic statement about breastfeeding on their flights to everyone who complains about this policy. Stop. Think. Apologise.

In fact the more i think about it the use of the word “permitted” is utterly unreasonable in relation to a child. It’s normal.

No need to picture it, just step on board a current KLM flight to find out.

Really? So disappointed to see this today having flown KLM last week and been impressed with their service. If a passenger complains to cabin crew about a breast feeding mother they should be politely reminded that they don’t have to look!

It’s just another example of every day misogyny. If we BEND to INTOLERANCE then we make it okay.

were great - I spent most of the flight outwards and return feeding the twins and no extra fuss was made - we were treated just like any other passengers. 🙌🤱🤱

I think someone needs to be educated in I will feed my baby whenever and where ever I want to and I will NOT cover up as picture shows you cannot see anything when feeding! Offer the offended person the choice to look away! 🙄
