Also for anyone that is following me for my shader noodles last month: I’m planing to to some small write up of my learnings. Was there one of these that you’re more interested in than others?

Who's hungry? πŸ” This burger is a single procedural shader on a plane. The shape was created using only vector displacement. I have some proof in the thread. day 17: Hologram

Day 20 of - Mechanism βš™οΈ Technically not super accurate but I'll call it finished here. I went for a Tourbillon mechanism. Some pieces are missing but I focused on the overall design. Single sphere with procedural displacement shader, as usual.

Day 22: Star Didn't expect much going into this one, but in the end it was a lot of fun! I'm so glad there is 4d noise now! Though I already started missing 5d, to be able to make proper looping 3d noise!

A little breakdown, to show how flipping part of a mesh can allow volumes outside of it. I'm really happy this works well, enabling this result with just the single cube in the default scene.

Still and tree The idea was to displace the sphere into 2 spheres and distort one

The nodetree is at the limit for GPU rendering, it seems. I had to optimise a lot to get it rendering at all.

Day 16: Greeble I made a spaceship generator using only material nodes. The entire model is made using only vector displacement on a cube. More info in the thread.

i collected all of the files i've made for you can get them on my gumroad I've put a pricetag on them, because (besides other cool stuff) there is the hexagon nodegroup included that i normally sell with another package. Enjoy!
