This has to be the most surreal sunset that I have ever photographed. No it’s not some tropical island, it is the north west coast of Scotland on Friday night. To help with scale, those 2 dots in the middle of the sand are people.

The community-run public toilets were closed today (29/8). It was felt that they would be in too much of a mess to deal with if left open until the next clean. They are cleaned twice a day when possible. You can donate online

Strath in . A fantastic place to explore, with beautiful brochs and gorgeous gorges. If you're in need of inspiration then get your walking boots on and breathe in the Caithness.

Lots of investment has been ploughed into roads in the south of Scotland, but next to none has made its way to the Far North. With the already seeing a spike in traffic, it is really crucial that the SNP finally delivers on its promise to improve road safety.
