Students are never too old for cut and paste activities. It’s a good way for them to practice the new vocabulary and use kinesthetic learning.

Excited to be starting a new job as an MYP French teacher! Been told to decide which resources I'd like to order, but I've never taught IB/MYP before. Can anyone recommend any good textbooks, dictionaries or other resources?

“Running dictations”= Teach written accuracy, review sentence structures, encourage teamwork, and energize middle schoolers with this fun class starter. Eye of the Tiger and anything Michael Jackson are my 7th graders’ favorite song picks for this activity.

Grade 6 enjoyed learning about different text types and how they all have different conventions and aims. How can we tell an advert is an advert, and what is the aim? (Criterion A & B, Strand ii)

Kicked off the first full day of school at IICS with a wonderful all-school assembly, fun and games with homeroom, and some creative group writing in MYP and DP French.

G7 Homework this weekend was to think about these two questions: Q1. Est-ce que tu juges des personnes sur l’apparence? Q2. C’est quoi le « look idéal »? Some of the responses were very caring and open minded!

7th graders charades-ing their weekend routines. It’s always a happy teacher moment to sit back and watch them learning language, finding creative and communicative solutions, and developing the confidence to take risks in front of their peers.
