There is a marginal risk for severe weather and excessive rainfall for SE Michigan Saturday night. The main threats with any thunderstorms will be locally heavy rainfall and lightning, but isolated storms may have hail up to 1 inch. Stay tuned for forecast updates.

Here's our severe weather outlook for Sat. We are extremely concerned for strong tornadoes along the dry line/cold front/warm front interaction (triple point) in the aftn/evening, along w/ potential for very large hail (grapefruit to softball size).

Freezing rain/ice across south-central MI into The Thumb are seriously concerning. Especially when you factor in very strong winds. Some widespread damage & power outages from this storm are possible in those areas.
