Not exactly a moment, but enough to leave an impression. (Oh, and if you think that “hiring female directors” solves the problem, it doesn’t. Because women can be pervy too—in fact, I’d argue they’re more dangerous because female predators are so overlooked.) 🖕🏼

Could I respectfully suggest Grace Millaine’s tragic death not be misused as a feminist issue. We don’t know what hapaaened, a family is in grief and the accused deserves a fair trial.

The deafening silence of the movement celebrities in the case of is indicative of what happens when white women gentrify a movement that was started to advocate for Black women victims of sexual violence. If her complexion was different they’d be outraged.

My 21-year-old daughter was accosted by a man as she waited for a bus tonight. TTC staff intervened and he ran off. She's had to deal so many times with unwanted advances, suggestive comments, etc. Anyone who still disbelieves women should be ashamed!

It's not justice, when women are regarded as liars. It's not consent, when women are afraid to say no. It's not free speech, when women are silenced. It's not human rights, when women are unprotected. It's not rocket science, why women have had enough.
