Meguro means "black eyes". How did it get its name? It is from this Ryūsenji Temple's statue of black-eyed Fudō-myōō (deity known as Acala in Sanskrit).

Ward is one of the recommended places to view the this . There are many trendy cafes & shops along the river so you can shop & admire the flowers during the same visit. At night paper lanterns line the river, creating an other-worldly ambiance

Right now the cherry blossoms are creating a magical arch over the Meguro river. It’s like walking through a dream, especially if you go there in the early morning before the crowds 🌸

The three most popular places to do hanami in would likely be Park, Park, and River. If you haven’t gone yet, the sakura await, but not for too much longer! * Where do you love to go for hanami?

Okay so, adding onto the last post, if you’re in Japan, go to the bread store Hobs. Located in Meguro, they have been my go to bakery since I was small. The smell of the bakery just makes you feel warm. Just please visit.
