A2 - My favorite from the shirt is Sophie Germain. Gauss knew she was a bad ass nearly 200 years ago. My favorite not on the shirt is Maria Eng. She taught me so much about the teaching and learning of mathematics.

89yo grandmother: “there were two men in college who were math geniuses. Problem was I could beat them in math, but I wasn’t allowed to study math because I’m a woman.” I assured her we are pushing for better! Hopeful my girls will never feel like this.

I wore my shirt to school yesterday. One of my students excitedly pointed at it and said, “That’s me!” She was pointing to Ada Lovelace, the woman she portrayed for her Wax Museum project earlier this week. 🥰
