Ran 5/7 days this week. It’s been over a year. Now to work on endurance. I have 44k in for this week. I’ll be over 70 by Sunday.

Ok, let's go with this theory that eating beetroot for its high nitrate content improves running performance. Certainly tastes bad enough to be good for me 🤢

First order of biz with my new client in Australia...get that average heart rate for her normal runs under 184 beats per minute. She's damn tough to sustain that for 10k, but that's no easy run. Easy does it, people!

In very revelatory news, I'm 6 hours into day 1 of 3 days of carb-loading and I'm already completely bored of food. HOW? I love to eat. The mind is a wonderfully weird thing

Third 20 miler of this training block is done! Had to wear my fleece for a lot of it, the wind was "deadly", as people down here say. Loving the map though... Have to say a feel little bit proud of myself 😊

Weekend long run complete...getting to that point deeper in the cycle where 12 miles ain’t so bad and it doesn’t feel like someone snuck a bunch of these rocks in my socks. Onward I go.

💫 It is not how you start the race or where you are during the race, it is how you cross the finish line that will matter 💫
