There was a Tony Scherman exhibition on the third floor of the gallery with some beautiful paintings. Tony is a Canadian painter know for his use of encaustic and portraiture to depict people or events of historical/popular significance.

Churchill, is known for its large polar bear population, but DYK that in the summer, it’s also home to tens of thousands of whale’s? You can spot these magnificent mammals as they sing and travel in the Hudson Bay estuaries. 🐳

There are some beautiful Inuksuits around Churchill. An Inuksuk is a man made stone landmark. Historically it may have been used for navigation, particularly in regions dominated by tundra biome that may have had few natural landmarks.
