Good morning from a hazy, sunny and windy Horrific day yesterday ended up rushing Sam into vets with what turned out to be a tumour on his spleen that had ruptured. He was bleeding into his abdomen and went straight into surgery. Fingers crossed folks.

Yesterday we went into Clogwyn Du'r Arddu on to see where the alpines are up to. The purple Saxifrage (Saxifraga oppositifolia) was looking beautiful. I will never get over the disproportionate size of the flower compared to the plant.

I don't care if your tent is knackered & you didn't fancy dragging two 7m poles down the path. Who ever you are, you're an absolute idiot for thinking is OK to leave it in Clogwyn Du or anywhere else! It was OK for me to drag it all out though wasn't it. Grrrr

Good morning from a grey overcast and rather chilly Sam the collie is back to the vets for bloods today after his emergency splenectomy on Monday. He's quite chipper all things considered and he's eating like a good un. Here he is in happier times with his mates.
