Hadrian’s Gate 131 AD, Athens was the entrance the massive just completed Temple of Olympian Zeus - after 5 centuries of work delays & cost overruns. 1,900 years later the gate is still the entrance to the site that includes the ruins of the Temple.

My kind of celebrity sighting today! Civil Rights Movement veteran Joan Trumpauer Mulholland came to our sit in theater program today. That’s a photo of her being attacked by white supremacist thugs in 1963 while peacefully protesting.

I'm conflicted. I've spent a lot of time @ CW reenactments as a hobbyist but many of the points here resonate w/ me and capture the (many) tensions I experience while in the field personally

It wasn’t the best weather for a trip today but Y7 did themselves proud at Lincoln castle, cathedral and museum. Apologies for the swords, catapults and bows and arrows... the gift shop were delighted though! 🗡 🏰 ⛪
