In July 2018 I was diagnosed with . I went and cut out sugar. I quit smoking five years ago. I am finding quitting sugar *much* harder than quitting smoking. I've been aching for cake for days. I never had a cigarette craving last for more than five minutes.

Sugar is Not a Treat. Good 15 minute talk on how your pancreas handles processed foods and sugar but as someone who was addicted to carbs, I’m not the biggest fan of her solutions. Diabetics need to hear doctors say low carb works.

Yeah. I'm usually happy just have a long black. I should start asking about low carb option, too. More people ask for it, better they know keto-eating is more common than they thought.

Ups and downs. Down: A friend with Alzheimers was told by her doctor she could eat keto but she has to still eat whole grains. Whaaaa?? Up: Went to a movie and they had coconut chips! is moving more slowly than we'd like but it is catching on.

This is everything that is wrong with our Governments advising us what is healthy. Avoid fat and eat 5-11 servings of “healthy” carbs per day. Manufacturers follow the money .

A question: the UK is a warm temperate climate, replete with plant life. How much is edible? How many of the plants that we can eat grow naturally in the wild...at all.. or in abundance to sustain human life?

For 20 years I guided people to eat grains, focus on lean protein & lots of plant food. I SO apologize. The evidence of the Ketogenic diet is so sound in its neuro-protective capabilities, anti-inflammatory effects, ability to reverse T2DM, it’s clearly the way to eat
