I've tried to fill the gaping hole..and I'm all for change..it's the stuff of experimentation and growth. But the thing is, I just can't deny it...I still deeply miss on . Maybe it's a night owl thing - it's when I really soaked up analysis. Anyhoo, onwards.

Still hugely miss on . It made sense of the day - for night owls - and when it was at full mast it set the agenda for the next. Love other night offers like The World but still feeling the gaping hole of the resourced, investigative Lateline.

That is an unbelievably damning report on the NSW water rorts. Everyone involved should resign. I suspect it has something to do with NSW. It is a different world down there. See what I did there?

I miss ...it was the perfect end to the day... and when it was driving big investigations it invariably pointed to beginning of the next.

Emma Emma Emma. You have forgotten about Turnbull's $40,000 cheque. Julie's $500,000 Glorious fund. $250,000 Rolex watches to Liberal MPs. Yet you focus on Sam's $1600. Stop looking for your gotcha moment.

News junkie/journo/history nerdfest. If you missed it last night, the final @Lateline has with former hosts Kerry O'Brien, Maxine McKew and Leigh Sales on all they did and all that's changed. A stellar history.

Given the extent to which the Govt was prepared to lean on the , and that management was prepared to succumb to their pressure, it’s conceivable that was cut as a result of Govt influence, likewise cuts to radio current affairs.
