🦴😇GUARDIANS OF THE DEAD🗿🕯️ In 1903 the head priest of Nenbutsu-ji (念仏寺) and neighbouring Fukuden-ji (福田寺) began to gather up stone Buddhist statues from all around the local area. By the time he was finished they numbered 8000!

Kyo no Tanabata is the Kyoto celebration of the star festival held each August. The city is beautifully illuminated during this time and people write their wishes on colorful scraps of paper and hang them from bamboo branches 🎋

A summer day wandering along the Kiyotaki-gawa (清滝川). Come autumn the river valley beneath Takao (高雄) is transformed into a red and yellow tapestry, nicknamed "Kin'unkei" (錦雲渓 the 'Brocade Gorge'). It looks good in green too.

A figurine at a Japanese souvenir shop in Kyoto These is Kimono and cute samurai figurines, which size of glass. My job is a bit related to souvenirs. so I could take photo. It's similar to Kokeshi.(but not) Anyway, I thought it was cute😊

During Tsuyu (梅雨) the rain is often so ferocious that water pushes its way through small gaps into the main rooms of the old house, staining wood & damaging the sliding doors. Today Miho took the time to replace rain-damaged paper on the Shōji (障子), a delicate job.

The whirr of the sewing machine, the hum of the fan, the cicadas incessant stridulation...these have become summer's song in the teahouse. Our small office has become a hive of activity once more, a workshop for our fledgling face mask enterprise.

Hi,world. This place is shimogamo shine with world Heritage. A place that is surrounded by mystery The beginning of the shinto-shrine is long before the temple at least 500 years or more I think Shinto culture has more mysteries than temples.

This is “STARBUCKS” Ninenzaka store in Kyoto. (It is near Kiyomizu Temple.) Traditional Japanese style house was renovated, so you can feel a very Japanese atmosphere.
