Society is screwed up. We expect people to be kind to some animals & brutally kill others. The mixed messages, violence, etc is contradictory at best. Then we’re surprised with the violence in the world towards one another.

When your life is worth nothing. When you are something (to eat) not someone. When nobody nearby sees your suffering. From Veganism, in essence, is the awareness of suffering.

Eating animals is an invisible dominant ideology. That doesn't make it right. We have a moral obligation to not participate in the violence.

None of us are given the opportunity to choose if we want to be a part of the violent system of eating animals. We wouldn't choose to be part of it if we were.
