Because I believe that conscience is our connection to the divine I cannot do or say what my conscience tells me not to. Thus I had no choice but to oppose the invasion and occupation of as I did. My problem was I opposed it too well and am still paying the price in exile.

16 years ago today I was one of the leaders of the mightiest demonstration in British history against the imminent invasion and occupation of Iraq. Everything we said turned out to be right and everything our leaders and their media said turned out to be false.
