In our long range outlook issued to clients Nov 8, we mentioned the potential for a Christmas storm. That forecast was 45 days out. GFS and CFS are picking this system up for Christmas Eve. Precip type and exact locations still very much up for grabs

I can hear the sirens from the weather police now, but the GFS is now into Day at the end of it's run. This will likely NOT be what actually occurs, but for FUN (I emphasize FUN) lets look at forecast snow depth on Christmas morning across the region.

9 out of 20 GFS ensemble members bring accumulating snow on Sat as far north as Southern . Safe to say the ensemble data isn't exactly in full agreement with the deep suppression on the operational GFS.

FREE show tonight in the skies over central Indiana. The International Space Station will be visible for 5-minutes starting at 6:25 pm. It will start in the NW sky and exit to the ESE. Throw on a coat, grab the kids, go outside and look up!
