Brief Heavy snow likely Tuesday eve-early Wednesday morning, before transistioning to a mix, then all rain before exiting. Widespread 2''-4"+ appears likely. Most if not all snow melts by afternoon as rain takes over and warmer temps.

I was surprised by how well the snow showers are doing today. Ground is actually turning white in some places!

Watching a storm for Tues eve - Wed. It will start as snow, then change to a mix, then all rain before exiting. The GFS is not excited on snow. While other models bring a good thump of accum before all rain.

Please be careful looking at snow accumulation models. Some show sleet as snow....

Models have shifted a tad bit north with tomorrow's system. I think north of I-70 for 1"-3". Can't rule out some iso 4" amounts. Indy itself for snow, then mixing poss. GFS has a thump of snow right over Indy at the start of the event, I am skeptical on that. Will see..

Eyeing 3 systems to bring accumulating snow. First wave arrives Saturday. Some models keep it just south of Indy, too early to know for sure. The following system comes Sunday. Then another next Wednesday. Each of these systems have the potential to drop several inches. ❄️

Not a bad evening is in store, with temperatures in the mid-to-upper 40s. Winds will be a bit strong however, with gusts possible around 25mph. A slight chance of rain will be present as cold air begins to move in, leaving us in the low-to-mid 20s by tomorrow morning.

Upper teens to lower 20s tonight. Quiet until at least Tues night. A LOT of questions about precip type and timing Wed AM. We THINK 1-3" snow beginning around 3-4AM Wed, changing to glaze to 0.10 ice before dawn, then rain late Wed AM. Small changes=BIG effects.
