Madison St in , IL near Kentucky Aly. These appear to be tracks embedded in the road along Madison St. They cross other tracks which appear to have once been an industrial spur line from the currently active tracks. Proof there’s always more to discover!

The Northern Traction Company of was given permission to extend rails and service to for electric rail service in 1901. By 1902 the 40 passenger Interurban cars would transverse the thirty-five miles between the two cities in slightly over an hour.

The system, powered by overhead electrical line. 1901 FW to Dallas line was an hour trip, 35 miles. Rail traffic declined in 1930s when paved roads were constructed between the 2 cities, last train made the interurban run on Christmas Eve 1934.
