Finding out that some people don't have an helps me understand why some people think their ideas are epic when they actually haven't thought them through at all and don't value input from others.

I was staring at the ceiling. I caught my inner voice (definitely verbal, though not necessarily coherent) with these thoughts: "Wow.. BOOM!... wowsa." These are the days when I probably should not try to write.

Ok! This gave me a headache...but anyone else have both? I have an inner voice but sometimes, it's visual. Like if I read; I don't hear an inner monologue, I see the story like a movie.

When you go to throw a can away does your internal monologue say, "I should recycle this!"? Apparently not everyone has an internal monologue. Are you one of those people?

I don't have an inner monologue and I had always assumed that people had thoughts expressed in a variety of ways (including but not limited to an ). So it's interesting to me that other people didn't consider this.

I'm currently having imaginary arguments in my head to stop me writing negative things out loud on social media. But really I should be starting a very complex writing project!

Big debate about whether everyone has an internal monologue (mate I don’t stop talking to my self EVER) but then there’s aphantasia as well. Where you can’t visualise stories/books/scenarios and objects in your head. HOW?!?!! Imagine having that kind of headspace!

This has been making the rounds on Facebook, and it's fascinating. As someone whose inner monologue tends to be exceptionally chatty, I too find it hard to comprehend NOT having one.

Everyone is talking about that inner monologue thing... I think mine is broken because I don't read things in my own voice I read things in other people voices. Like right now I'm typing this hearing Joe Goldbergs voice.

Hmmmm....I guess you'd say that I do. I talk to myself quite often & out loud. It doesn't matter where I am. So I guess my is more audible. I am a shy introvert and I pray. I like guided meditations as well.

We regret to inform you that our team is fully up in arms and broken over the debate. Where do you fall? And do you consider yourself more analytical (methodical), or more creative (insightful/aha!moments)?

Who else is blown away by the conversation happening right now. I NEVER knew some people didn’t experience an inner monologue. Do you?
