Eliud Kipchoge is an excellent runner, no doubt. There've been excellent runners from Kenya before, and more will come after him. What's exceptional about Kipchoge and his mgt team is the way they've embraced publicity, and are exploiting it. Great stuff.

London is a possible venue for Eliud Kipchoge’s next tilt at the sub-2hr marathon this autumn with organisers INEOS expecting ‘tens of thousands’ of spectators. Not clear if it will be a record-eligible course, though.
