In 1877, Maharana Sajjan Singh ordered a crystal collection including chairs, sofas & even a bed (!) from F&C Osler, Birmingham. He died before the shipment arrived. It was rediscovered 110 yrs later & is now housed in a gallery above the glittering Durbar Hall.

The main purpose to visit India at this time of year is to see displaying Lesser Florican. BINGO! A supporting cast of Rain Quail and Jungle Bush Quail at the same spot wasn't too shabby either!
