ex-Rep. David Young (R) said today he's running for a rematch against Rep. Cindy Axne (D) in (the southwest corner of Iowa). Young won by 14% in 2016 then lost by 2% with the *same map*. The only blue county, Polk (Des Moines), casts 58% of the votes & will be key.

Iowa will be ground zero for the 2020. Iowa Dems will caucus in 297 days, all 4 U.S. House seats are going to be competitive, Ernst is likely to face a tough race, the State House will be up for grabs, and it is a state that will decide who wins the White House in 2020.

1/4 2018 thread. Unsurprisingly, performed the best of any Democrat in Iowa in every county. Probably has something to do with only having a Libertarian as an opponent, but there's something to be said about his popularity and incumbency advantage ;)
