I think there is a "sweet spot" of urban density so that there's enough of it to make streets come alive & supply a diversity of housing, goods & services but not so much that it feels overwhelming and beyond

Not sure I understand the for why the highway needs lamp posts when all cars have lights but the multi-use path remains dark when most peds and bikes don't have headlights. Swivel the street lamp 180 degrees.
