The 50s film, The Thing, is 80 minutes long. The viewing experience was fast but satisfying. I then saw a new horror film, 2/12 hours long. Whatever suspense & horror it tried to build was dissipated by its tortuous length.

I stayed up after work and watched the 10:15 am showing of Crawl yesterday. For an animal attack film it was very entertaining. The best way to describe it without any spoilers is that it’s 1.5 hours of Florida residents making terrible life decisions.

Rearranging storage and came across my first Fangoria! I had my mom buy this for me because Ghostbusters was in it. July 1984. I was 6. One of the many things that fed my fascination with horror and filmmaking.

I’m such a big horror fan, but since I had cancer treatment I feel like I’ve gone soft 🀣 I shall persevere on though, love a good non-cancer related scare!

Love me some "Critters" That movie freaked me right the fuck out. Lived on a dairy farm about the time I saw it for the first time. Every time I looked out the kitchen window while washing dishes I thought I saw beady red eyes looking back at me.
