Disgusting. While Republican was governor of , he BLOCKED $70 million in federal funds to fight the crisis. During his tenure, Florida’s HIV epidemic became “peerlessly severe” with the most new cases of any state in the US.🤬

I often think how different my life would be, had one moment not altered it all. But I would not have accomplished 10% of the I have done, had it not been for my diagnosis. I believe that everything happens for a reason - and eventually all things fall into place. ❤

2 years ago I was told that a + person could not become a pilot. Tomorrow is my first day working for a UK airline. As has proven, HIV is NO BARRIER to you being you. In fact it can give you the courage, strength and determination to break real barriers down.

I have a good friend living with HIV, my husband lived with CF, I have family members living with cancer. All that matters is the person underneath - and that they can live the best life. Their illness should never stop us from loving them.

For me, coming out as felt like a great leap into the unknown. Now I’m glad to be out of the viral closet. I refuse to think of my HIV status as something to be ashamed of. It’s just a virus, not a moral judgement. Strength to Gareth Thomas.

3) treatment today is amazing. Many people take just one pill a day that keeps them healthy. In fact people living with HIV can live just as long as anybody. And as an added bonus HIV treatment stops us being able to pass the virus on via sex! 4/4
