The general purpose warehouses along Lowen Road were the first buildings to be constructed for the Fort Belvoir Military Railroad. Built in 1917, the warehouses are a part of the Fort Belvoir Military Railroad Historic Corridor.

Re-enactors were positioned throughout the museum to answer questions during the Camp Shelby Centennial Celebration. Re-enactors included Soldiers from WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, and ordinary citizens dressed in period costumes.
