Surprise, surprise. Business leaders helping to demolish democracy AND public education in Houston by recruiting UN-ELECTED candidates for state-appointed board. This is a naked attempt to privatize Houston’s schools. Enough!

This is insulting! A state “coach” is directing our ELECTED officials how to interact. Is this a preview of the State Takeover of Houston’s schools? Who “ELECTED” this “coach”? What hubris. Democracy dies by coaching.

This is the problem. State interference in the running of schools. The Board of Education never talk about education anymore. Or curriculum, or teaching, they rarely mention students. They just talk about numbers and data. Mind-numbing, useless, data.
