This. This is what happens when you feed mealworms to hedgehogs. It's a death sentence. Calcium is leached from their bones and they break. Severely painful. The can then no longer move to find food or water and will die a slow, agonising death. Please feed safely!

Some wrestling from last night. The champion remains undefeated, even though he isn't the largest hog.

A second with the most beautiful 'skirt' at the second entrance. Another young 'un I think. They're not babies, but they can't be very old either. Any age suggestions experts?

Now David Hasslehog , you came by at 11:45pm, again at 1:45am and now 4am. The Pedigree loaf dish is empty because you ate it all. There are plenty of dry biscuits... I'm sorry I didn't get up to refill your food 🙃🦔🐾 You can't eat the dish

A out laying/wobbling or with flies around in the *sun* is sick. Not hungry. Not thirsty. Not a cute photo opportunity. Sick. Take inside and ring a rescue immediately. Find your nearest here: Please do not leave it to die under a hedge.

Took this a couple of minutes to realise that it was safe to keep eating. 2 minutes in 20 seconds!

Fun Fact – A study by Ronald Douglas and Glen Jeffrey suggests hedgehogs’ lenses transmit a lot of UV light which could suggest they can see UV light despite lacking a specific pigment.

Found this little fella wondering around one of our shade tunnels this morning. Didn't want him to get trapped inside so he's now safely back out in the woods by the nursery helping keep the slugs and snails at bay
