Great work tonight. These guys put a lot of effort into their multiple assailants this evening, after working on form, applications, and hunting out weaknesses in . This ends all the gradings for a few months, and now a long weekend to recover.

: had a three hour meeting with to read/grade 9 grad student reflections where we got the notes (1200 words) and the numbers together. Today I have spent 60 minutes and just shy of 2200 words writing formal feedback. Grading is writing.

It's rather disheartening when a student doesn't apply your critiques of their first paper onto their next one. I know I shouldn't take it personally, but I try really hard to give useful feedback. Trying to help y'all succeed.

How is it possible that students taking an open book online exam do no better than students taking a face to face closed book exam?

This time of year (the final grades) are such a stressful, anxious time for me. A terrible past experience + the total lack of job security = I feel vaguely ill the whole time.

My Advisory asked, “why is it easier to bring down your grades than to bring up your grades?” They then had compelling evidences where they have tried to correct their mistakes, only to be frustrated by slow %grade growth. Rethink
