As I grade a million papers - impactful - yes or no? It seems to be the word of the month. I dislike it but thought I would consult the twittersphere. How would one use it correctly in a sentence?

Incredibly proud of 2 of my students who’ve done a terrific empirical job in a decidedly terrifying new intellectual land for them. They braved it. And came out head high. This is why I so much ❤️ this job. And education. This is what it’s all about.

College is far too late to learn how to write a compare and contrast essay. It's just a lost cause. Going to change the assignment to "write 1500 words on something you like a lot." It'll be a pass/fail essay.

All I wanted were sentences which each contained a subject, a verb, and maybe a predicate. That is not what I got. At least now I know for sure that grading summer papers will not be any different than grading regular papers?

Same. But now it’s Dead to Me on Netflix and a slew of non-grading tasks and emails I have to address. Ugh. Still .
