First time profiling code. The runtime seems to take up 30% of the time. I assume runtime.gcBgMarkWorker is the GC, not sure what runtime.mstart is? Presumably this is a sign of too many memory allocations? Anyone got tips for reducing them?

Lolz at internet comments saying that Google couldn't have possibly paid "millions" on Go because is so simple. Probably a troll, but my napkin math w/ git log + ~glassdoor salaries puts Google-paid accumulated salaries alone at least $45 million since 2009.
