Does anyone know the origin of Go's field tags? Are there any other compiled languages that allow these kind of field annotations?

In case you didn't know, is awesome. I love this site. Of all the skill building sites out there for developers, Hacker Rank has the best problems, especially for available.

Fifth article in the month of proc! It goes through the process of creating a TCP server that blocks, and then use /proc to identify the stacktrace of the method that led the kernel to block at a given syscall. Some stacktrace (w/ epoll) included!

An argument for the use of panics in can’t be the use case of β€œsome people don’t check errors”. I don’t think we should be able raise panics in Go. I’d love to see it removed in Go 2. Also the MustX convention of raising a panic is also bad. We have errors. Use them.
