Some pretty long work days & forgotten to take my own advice. Regardless of the weather, going to for a run today & meet a friend for a coffee & walk. Exercise, nature, community, friendship plus science will get us through this tough Winter. Happy Wednesday ☀️ ❄️

I felt a bit grumpy this week - couldn’t quite put my finger on it. Made plans to get outside and try x-country skiing. Feels SO GOOD!! Grateful to have trails right in St Albert to try

7 miles on a beautiful trail today. PR too thanks to great weather. Running isn’t so much for my body but rather my mind. Nothing is better than time away from all the noise to think, breathe in fresh air, & accomplishing a personal goal for the day.

We went outside this morning to play in the fresh snow ❄ Besides giving everyone a huge boost to beat the Monday blues, Ss also showed great teamwork to move some gigantic snowballs and build some wonderful snowmen ⛄This is EXACTLY what I needed today 💙

Popped out for a half hour gardening 'lunch' break and have only just come in 😳 Got a bit of work to catch up on but it feels so good to be so full of cold air, birdsong and mud 💚

When we decided to move we did it for the usual reasons such as needing more space as the kids grow up. The new house gives us that but also a beautiful woodland walk right behind us. It gives me a chance to take a break from work during the day right on the doorstep
