Q1: We had excellent care at diagnosis, but it was all about the physical care… The one piece of care that was missing for us was the emotional and psychological side – and fundamentally for the whole family. What piece of the jigsaw was missing for you at diagnosis?

Q2: Our HCP provides excellent support for Zoe to make diabuddies and learn about her T1D… She’s attended diabetes club, Activity Days, Transition days from Primary to Comp. What is the best bit of support your HCP provides for you?

Q4: I struggle sometimes with dealing with today versus overthinking the future. Every high can start a spiral of thoughts around future complications that I have to compartmentalise. What is the biggest thing you struggle with around managing your T1D or childs T1D?

So BG Bingo to end... I have a score in from Zoe (I am currently working away from home), there's been a set change.. I have a horrible feeling it may have failed people... So can anyone match 21.5

Need to change in pump, and do new cannula etc. Unfortunately can’t be bothered to move from the sofa. Why does Type 1 involve so much life saving, yet tedious admin 🤷🏼‍♀️

Last question... Q5: Dealing with T1D is relentless and never ending, however what makes you proudest about you or your child dealing with T1D and what are the positives of dealing with T1D?

Feel like I'm on some medieval time insulin regime with MDI and finger prick testing. Had the pump, we fell out. Nagging my DSN and consultant for CGM. WHAT EVEN IS LOOPING? I'm out 'the loop' so to speak.

A1: much the same experience for us, HCP did one session with DD on mental health early on in diagnosis, but nothing since, and nothing offered for the whole family to help us all adapt to our new ‘normal’

I’m Dan, dad to 10-year-old T1D daughter who used Medronic 640g and Libre. In training 11 months. New to this chat forum - keen to support my friend who I’ve learnt so much from since DD’s diagnosis. My nickname at school was ‘Danger Mouse’

I honestly don't think I've had a full night's sleep since diagnosis. The slightest bit of noise and I'm awake. Amazingly enough it's never down to BG. Any other light sleepers in the same boat?

A4). No. We had terrible time with specific bit of kit it caused lots of anxiety, depression when we reached out we were shut down as being negatively bias. Those same people who shared the “best thing since sliced bread” didn’t use it themselves when the opportunity arose

Q6: Do you think disclosure about sponsorship/paid flights/access to resources is important if you're going to talk or blog about ? Should opportunities to be patient representatives be widely advertised?

Question for and , Do many people have their pumps insured? I’m wondering about the value of insurance for my insulin pump? I suppose I don’t quite understand the why of it?
