A3) absolutely. Pumps are good for temporary basals, and flash/CGMs make it much easier to see what your BG is doing. I think thatโ€™s even more useful for exercise because it speeds up any BG changes

A4: I usually consult my DAFNE (2019) book which has been of great benefit to me, or If an insulin pen breaks, I'll contact the clinic.

For all of the amazing people in this online diabetes community, I've often thought about the echo chamber that this month CAN be. However I do not think I could have ever articulated it as well as this...thanks Megan ๐Ÿ’™

Massive congrats & thanks to for all their work raising awareness of this important topic. Iโ€™ve lost a close friend to so itโ€™s great to see this getting the TLC it needs. Well done to for her teamโ€™s hard work on this topic too!

Not a fan of change but trying something new. Changed my insulin doses and ratios. Injected a once weekly medication. Not holding my breath but if a once weekly injection could work for me it would be incredible. Just waiting for the side effects ๐Ÿ˜ฌ.

They donโ€™t want to know that the society & structure they benefit from & may have even created comes to the detriment of others like me. Me, who I consider one of the lucky ones, who still isnโ€™t able to do โ€œnormal lifeโ€. End rant 8/8

I avoid exercise classes in the evening, particularly aqua aerobics as I find my glucose levels are much less predictable in the evening and I can't scan my sensor in the pool

at what point do you give up on a Libre sensor? Mine is reading low (finger stick was 6.2) but itโ€™s trending fine and only been on since Saturday - do I just check when I get hypo symptoms and mentally just add 1.5 to the readings?
