Young black-headed grosbeak. It spent some time asking for food before realising it was easier to just feed itself.

Unusual blackbird in the garden this morning - bottom half has white markings - not seen one like this before (sorry for poor photo quality - zoomed in on iPhone so not to disturb it!)

Decided not to throw this plastic bun-tray out one day and instead keep it filled up with water for the birds, and right enough the robins and the sparrows seem to prefer it to the other water containers! So cute!

I don’t have the best camera on my phone, but here is my new Magpie friend. Really unique markings give it a tatty appearance. long skinny legs. Been a regular in my garden the last few weeks πŸ˜ƒ I adore Magpies 😍

Two garden bird favourites. They are all a lot more confident, standing on the tops of the hedgerow, even when you walk right past.

The birds have been doing some great posing today. Now I just need to convince them to stop throwing food at the lens and making things blurry.
