There is a lot of momentum behind Beer-to-Go and I believe that my amendment has a chance at success if the full Texas House is given the opportunity to vote.

My Beer-to-Go bill () hasn’t been scheduled for a committee hearing yet and the bill will die if it isn’t passed out of committee by Mon, May 6, so I am proposing a Beer-to-Go amendment to the TABC sunset bill this afternoon.

Beer-to-Go is officially endorsed in both the 2018 Texas Democratic and Republican Party platforms. Over 14,000 Texans have signed an online petition in support of Beer-to-Go and public opinion is clearly on our side.

Texas’ antiquated beer laws do the total opposite of supporting and nurturing growth of small businesses. did more to stifle us, than help. In order for legislators to say they’re “pro small-biz” to the voters, they must actually legislate like it.
