Who is Arthur Chu? 7m
People made snap judgements about Arthur, but I always believed that the haters were dead wrong. If you want insight into the real Arthur, it's here in this movie. I recommend it highly, because it's about so much more than just a game show appearance. -

Twitter : ★ ★ ★ 1/2 ☆ Timely and emotionally gripping, with a powerful story to tell. Unfortunately maybe preaching to the choir a bit. Tries for some balance, but clearly never quite means it. Nonetheless effective in its goals.

: at : promoted as a heist caper, but it’s far more than that. It’s thoughtful with complex characters with understandable motivations. Even the bad guys. A contender for my film of the year.

It's an inventive and topical warning about First World materialism, but one which requires more structure and more energy in order to do it's message justice

: 3 out of 5 An enjoyable children’s movie, nothing more. Visually it was quite impressive and the storyline is solid. Sadly, it lacks the laughs you’d expect of a film of this nature.

: 5 out of 5 Absolutely no need for this review but the local cinema had it on tonight so I took the opportunity to revisit this masterpiece. You don’t need me to say it, phenomenal movie.

Dak needs to make this throw. Beasley has a mismatch in single high man coverage. Prescott looks off the safety to the right and recognizes man coverage. Makes the right read, but misses the throw. Sorry for the shaky camera 🎥

: 3 out of 5 A worthwhile movie that gets a bit lost in parts. All said, the harsh reality of this drama is eased with well placed lighthearted moments, and Amandla Stenberg delivers a powerful performance as lead character, Starr Carter.

: 2 out of 5 The script for this movie is appalling. This fine cast are reduced to little more than a running commentary on the obvious. Combine this with blurry visual effects, results in a movie that is well below par.

Another film seen at the wonderful Westgarth Theatre in Northcote. Not very uplifting though and reminded me of Handmaids Tale. Boy Erased.

Review: Where the first film had fun with its material, this one takes it away adding in Easter Eggs to lure fans into a mediocre and dull story, which for the most part has not a lot happening.
