Ordered to redraw the map, NC Republicans unabashedly said they would replace the racial gerrymander with a political gerrymander. No, really, those are the words they used. 4/

. The Fair Maps Amendment would bring an end to gerrymandering in Illinois! Politicians shouldn't pick their own constituents, that's the job of the voters. Do you believe we should have in IL?

In 2011 as WI Gov, you signed into law what we proved in court to be the 4th most extreme partisan gerrymander in the US since 1972. It has resulted in GOP control of the WI legislature for a decade. If you want urge the WI GOP to put a commission in place in WI.

Gerrymandering dilutes voters' voices. They are packed into few districts or cracked over many districts, reducing their power to choose their leaders. We need to keep partisanship out of the district map drawing process.

Indeed, one of the additional benefits of putting limits on partisan gerrymandering is that it would help de-incentivize the targeting of communities of color for political gain (something both parties do). 42/

Elections are supposed to represent the will of the people, not politicians. But partisan politicians manipulate voting maps to keep themselves & their party in power. We need to make the process of drawing districts impartial to ensure !

Across the country, everyday voters are standing up and getting organized to change the way we draw voting maps. On March 26th, will be arguing a case at on why partisan gerrymandering should be illegal. It is time we bring to all voters!

How much is that gerrymander in the window? In TX, it's cost $5.7 million.
