last night i actually cried at the gym. 2 years ago i was starving myself and killing my self slowly. Now i’m proud of me for turning my life around and building a brand new relationship with my body and food. Healthy looks good on you. 💕

Tonight I had my favorite dinner from home (chicken pot pie) for the first time since my eating disorder. No guilt, no behaviors. To anyone who is struggling right now- recovery IS possible, and it is so worth it❤️❤️

EDs are sneaky. They lie and they steal. They thrive on doubt. Make sure you’re educated about these EDs. But more importantly remember that love, forgiveness, and grace go a long way in fighting this disease. Patients and caregivers need love and understanding.

I ate too much tonight, and I’m trying very hard not to throw up. I’ve been doing very well with , but I can feel it building up again.

Make sure you eat and hydrate. Take some time for self care and to check in with someone you love. If you’re struggling, say something. If you see someone struggling, reach out.

A note of thanks from a dad with a teen fighting an eating disorder: My daughter had a rough week. She struggled with her ED. She struggled with her self-worth. She struggled with everything. 1

Takeaways from ‘s episode w. : the therapeutic alliance matters SO MUCH MORE than speciality. Heath at Every Size work is NOT a speciality; it is a paradigm that must underpin ALL therapeutic work.

A nice way to think about it... 😊 “Think of your eating disorder self and your soul self: the one you feed will be the strongest. Getting better is about feeding or strengthening your soul self.”
