On Thursday I reported that many schools in Colorado's second largest district use the discredited Lucy Calkins reading program. On Friday, 's new story showed Calkins herself is backing away from some tenets of the program.

I asked Gov. Polis about recent decisions by Denver and Adams County districts to keep some students online. He responds that most students are back in the classroom, and that quarantine policies are working to contain spread in schools, even if they are "annoying."
