Sorry Min. Nzimande. Not fair, not practical and not necessary. pointed out HUGE and on road construction - we even named the companies and the amounts. Why didn't govt recoup money from them? Plus SA'ns pay a HUGE fuel levy already. Use that.

This past media report reflecting Panyaza Lesufi views on e-Tolls clearly shows that Provincial and National leadership on different pages. Confusion continues to reign on this failed and irrational scheme.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU PISS PEOPLE OFF! BEWARE Department of Transport says between April 2015 and March 2017 a total of 1.8 billion invoices were issued to motorists. More than 1.3 billion (over 70% of these invoices) were unpaid.

issues must please explain: (4) collected R725 million in 2017/18. They were paid a whopping R643 million to do that! That's right, most of money collected were spend on ETC! Who will replace ETC when their contract expires in Dec 2018?

Are you as frustrated by these SMS threats as ? It is safe to ignore and delete them. But NEVER ignore a summons. OUTA supporters must contact us immediately when summonsed and let us handle it. We have filed papers in more than 500 individual cases so far.

That fact in itself, makes the scheme unlawful. The law is clear: public consultation must be meaningful. No wonder the people are angry and the scheme has failed. Now five years on, they are trying to revive a dead horse.
