As a player, you should own a minimum of: - 1 set of dice - oh, what the heck, what's one more set of dice? - 5 sets of dice - well I NEED a new set of dice for my new character - and those gemstone dice are so PRETTY - 776 sets of dice

thoughts: How dm's deal with dragons Type 1: Dragons are horrifying, dangerous creatures of legend Type 2: Dragons are just large friends. Smart boys. Type 3: Dragons are creatures full of ancient wisdom Type 4: The DM is horny on main for dragons

thoughts: Bards are the friends that encourage self care and tell you to drink water while they themselves haven't slept in 14+ hours and have eaten nothing but fruit roll-ups for the last two days.

You know what? Screw CR, I'm just going to throw whatever I like at my players. Calculating appropiate combinations of monsters for each specific party depresses me. I'll just improvise if I over- or undershoot an encounter. Anything is better than all this math 😣

thoughts: Elf ears tend to lower slightly when in the presence of someone that they like. It's to make them look less threatening and it's a largely involuntary gesture, although lovers will sometimes exaggerate the movement almost like a wink.

Magic Item: Dwimmer Box. These containers are sprinkled in the forest by sylvan folk, as aid for those in need. The phials are equivalent to one magic potion. They refill once before becoming mundane. Druids and Rangers know to search for these around majestic trees.

thoughts: Opposite to surface elves, Drow ears actually perk up more when in the presence of someone they like. The overall effect is to make them look more intimidating, thus a more useful and desirable partner. It's still a mostly involuntary gesture.

thoughts: Tieflings will often wrap their tails around the wrists of their friends while traveling in large crowds. If it's a small friend it's so they don't loose them. If it's a large friend it's so they don't get lost themselves.

thoughts: Elves learn how to climb trees from an incredibly young age, and it's not uncommon for one to have broken a bone or two in their childhood from trying to climb too far too fast.

thoughts: Elves use incredibly outdated slang when they try to be "hip with the humans". They have no idea how or why humans change their slang so quickly. "What do you mean people don't day boogie anymore? That wasn't even 100 years ago!"

thoughts: Halflings are essentially grandmothers and will always offer food to their friends and fellow party members. They also always seem to have food on them somehow.

: Never introduce a new NPC where you could use an old one. Players love running into old favorites in unexpected circumstances; it makes the world feel more connected, and gives off the sense that these characters keep busy even when the players aren't looking.
