A friend posted an article about how plenty of ppl don't want to be "fixed", they want to be accommodated. An abled person said she disagreed because she really wishes her blind father could be cured. *blink bink* You do not get to choose that for your father.

folks + allies: As many of you know, YT is getting rid of captions, forcing creators to pay for accessibility. This affects people who are deaf, hard of hearing, have audio processing disorders and/or need translations. Please sign and share

Churches need to remember that even though they can open in the UK, there are many people who still are unable to access those services due to health and accessibility reasons. and people living with conditions, shouldn't be forgotten.

Social media is often portrayed as a toxic place. And yes I’ve had my fair share of trolls. But today three people I met through twitter have supported me & reached out when I’ve been having a bad mental health day. This is why online communities matter.

Being in Alberta means losing your home & exhausting your life savings & when you have nothing left the government makes you beg for a pittance, enough to practically starve on but not enough for a decent life. The UCP cruel cuts have hurt us even more.

Oh you mean the benefit you got if you physically called your worker to beg for it and had to have heard about in the first place Regardless it was a bad answer. He should of given it to all on the program period. It so hard to keep up with all the changes

I'm tired of hearing about people who have overcome their disability through sheer determination and grit. That's not real life.

Hey Twitter! How would you want your disability illustrated? This month and I are working on a new set of minis this month, tied to a short adventure about an autistic wizard, and we want to make about 20+ awesome divergent folx.

This intersection might seem fine to you, but look closely at the curb cut. Notice the low point isn't directed into the crosswalk. This forces mobility device user's into the traffic lane when trying to cross the street. Scary! It's a common problem in cities.

People are waking up, finding out the UCP are ruthless & uncaring. Look at their treatment of students & teachers for back to school. The , & vulnerable have received cruel CUTS. Welcome to Kenney's Alberta.

Or do you truly identify as an ally? I'm seeing all these calls for papers on the experience of the pandemic and it's so depressing. Bc you're profiting off of us and we're dying in disproportionate levels. Globally our minority has the highest rates of poverty (2/13)
