Today I had a MRI to assess my nerve damage. On the subway home my BFF & I were verbally assaulted and threatened w/physical harm, and homophobic slurs. I'm but never felt helpless. No one in the car said a word. what does someone do in this circumstance?

Any open to commissions? Or have pieces for sale? I have some unexpected $$ and would like to buy some art for my bedroom walls and support marginalized artists while I’m at it! Give me recs or shameless self promos. I am HERE FOR IT!

The uncertainty of last-minute, ad-hoc, and make-do conditions for ♿ access in academic spaces causes huge unnecessary stress for academics. It also gives the message that these spaces are not for us. Please, event organisers, normalise access! Think! Ask! Do!

I survived 10 surgeries (5 spinal). I fought kidney I live w/ & & use a cane. Being & threatened verbally w/violence in a confined space is terrifying. Yesterday, I feared for my life & was the 1st time I thought I might die.

Thread on technology and disability, how the "cure all" view of the relationship between the two can be harmful not helpful, isn't as simple as people believe, and is ableist and classist.

Home from hospital. Struggling so much with the pain. So thankful for my bathroom! I don’t know how I’d keep myself clean otherwise.
